Questions
What patients and dentists ask
If yours is not here, call us. We would rather answer than have you guess.
Do you take my insurance?
It depends on your plan and the treatment. Some medical plans pay for anesthesia and some dental plans pay part of it. We check with your plan before the day and tell you what it said.
What if I do not have insurance?
We give you a written estimate in advance, when you book or whenever you ask. You pay us directly, and financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
No. We are not enrolled with either. If you have one of them, ask your dentist about other options.
Will it hurt?
Your dentist numbs the area as usual, and the sedation helps you stay relaxed. You may still notice pressure or movement. Raise a hand and we will adjust, or pause.
Is sedation right for everyone?
No. Dr. Faison reads your history and decides whether sedation is an option and at which level. For some patients, a hospital or a different plan is better.
What should I do the night before?
Follow the fasting and medicine instructions we gave you in writing, and arrange your escort. If something slips, call us and we will move the day.
Do you see children, and from what age?
Only when their dentist refers them and a parent or guardian comes. Dr. Faison reviews each child's history first and tells you honestly if another setting is a better fit.
What counts as a dental emergency, and what do I do first?
Swelling that spreads to your face or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that will not stop needs emergency care now: go to an emergency room or call 911. We do not provide emergency dental care; call your own dentist for a broken or knocked-out tooth.
Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?
Sedation is all we do. Dr. Faison gives it herself, with a registered nurse beside her. Your dentist does the dental work.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes. You can ask for one when you book or at any time, and it lists the anesthesia, the time we expect and the fee.
Do you speak Spanish?
Our team speaks English. Tell us if you would like an interpreter and we will arrange one when you book.
How do I cancel or change a visit?
Call us as early as you can. Your dentist's office has reserved time as well, so we tell them too, and we will help you pick another day.
Still have a question?
Call the scheduling line or send a message. A person answers on weekdays.
