How fees work
There are usually two fees: your dentist's for the dental work and ours for the anesthesia. We explain ours before the day.
Insurance we work with
Plans treat anesthesia for dental care in different ways. Some medical plans pay for it, some dental plans pay part of it and some pay nothing. We bill a plan only when it has told us it covers sedation for your treatment. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP.

If you pay yourself
If no plan pays, you pay us directly for the anesthesia. Your dentist's fee is separate, and their office gives you that estimate. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

Receipts for reimbursement
After the day we give you an itemized statement with the anesthesia time and the procedure codes. You can send it to a plan that reimburses you. The plan decides what it pays.

An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before the visit. If you are paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you book or whenever you ask. It lists the anesthesia, the time we expect to need and the fee.

Checking your benefits
Coverage for anesthesia is hard to read from a card, so we check with your plan before the day and tell you what it said. We also ask your dentist's office for the procedure codes. If the answer changes, we call you before anything else happens.

We call you again if it changes
What the first visit includes
There is no separate first visit. Your dentist's exam comes first, then a phone call with Dr. Faison or a nurse of about half an hour, then the sedation day. Your health history goes through our private portal, not by email or on this site.

Ask about a fee before you come
Tell us the treatment your dentist has planned. We will give you our estimate in writing.
